Special Education Services
The district does not accept boundary exceptions for enrolled preschool students.
Shoreline School District provides a continuum of services for preschool students who qualify for special education services based on their individual needs and live in the Shoreline School District. Services may include speech therapy, occupational and/or physical therapy services, support from a special education teacher, as well as vision, audiology and mobility services.
All services are provided to the maximum extent possible within our inclusive preschool classrooms at the Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center. All our classrooms include children with and without disabilities.
Students who qualify for speech-language and/or motor services and are not enrolled in classrooms at our center, may receive therapy-only services on site.
If you are concerned for a preschooler with a possible delay in development, please call our Child Find Screening and Referral line (206)393-4350.
